Here is a thought..... Hondata ring a bell? Instead of buying a 12 year old hunk of junk see if they do a reflash for the R 18's, if not hang in there they will soon. If you get the Eclipse it's gaurantied to be beaten on. Don't fall for the "My grandma only drove it to the store and back B.S." Anything used without a service history is a game of Russian Rullet. Take it from expierence. Eclipse's are faster then Civics from the factory I give them that but take it from me you will be putting alot more money then the 10g's it will cost you when you first buy it.
But to each is own I'm only giving advice.

This is what i tried to get to Honda to look into for which they did and closed the book on it. So no Reflash will be available in Canada for R18's. As for Hondata i dont see this in the forseable future for R18 either.?

Either way im screwed in getting my car to launch off any line what so ever
without choking unless i scream the RPM's high before engaging the clutch.

LaMe

Hell, if he'll drive to Nashville, I'll go to the dealer (Crest Honda) with him and get it reflashed. They for sure will do it.

Have you tried talking to a different person about it, perhaps a manger of the representatives on the phone? Maybe they can help you a lot better. The person handling the call is only doing their job.

I doubt that does any good anyway. Honda doesnt care about their customers to really give a shit.

I mean that's a big generalization. I'm sure if the people behind the phones experienced the same problems, they'd take a big initiative to push it. But frankly, I can understand why they wouldn't care if it's not their problem.

I think he's trying to suggest bringing it to the states to get the American R18 DBW reflash. But I think they're going to deny the reflash if you're from Canada due to emission standards. Maybe it's worth a try. *shrug*
