I got into a wreck.. honda = tank

I wasn't going to post this up, since I have a 7thgen and all. But I like this community a lot more than 7thgencivic so here I am posting up my accident. I was going 40 mph and this lady just pulled out in front of me. There was nothing I could do to avoid her and I just t-boned her. I don't have any pics of her car, but I would put money on it's totalled. It looks like my car tried to sit in her passenger seats (front and back). The cop on the scene wouldn't give me her insurance information either, told me to wait for the police report.

Over all I'm pissed about the whole ordeal. My neck hurts like hell and I can't get her insurance information (she admitted she was at fault) until the police decide it's okay. BTW, she's leaving town this weekend for a while, so if I don't get a claim started by then, I'm screwed.

I didn't edit out my license plate.. please don't skin me =P

In our province, it is mandatory to swap insurance information. ICBC (our provinces corporation) contacts you for a taped interview, and the other parties interview and compares the stories to see who's at fault, no matter who admits fault or not.

Dang, man, I'm really sorry to hear about the car. I don't it's totalled. But then again, I can't judge from the pictures.

Well, I had/have full intent on a new si.. But then I decided it was better for me to go back to school first and work numbers for a new car later, which is what I'm doing. I still have to talk myself out of a new si (for debt's sake) every single time any of you post up a pic of your beautiful cars ;p , but I'll make it to the ranks of the wonderful one day.

Well, I meant that her car was totalled. She was in a mid-90's Mercury Grand Marquis. I've only had 1 mechanic look at my car and they said mine might be totalled, but very unlikely. He said with the rate of speed and the way the frame took the grunt (is that the word I'm looking for?? =P ) of the impact, it's possible that I cracked it. I guess I'll just have to find out later.

I think you meant "brunt", but grunt kinda works in this case. Just seeing that picture made me wince in pain. I got my new Civic as the result of an accident as well. It's a crappy way to get a new car but, now that I have my 8thGen, I'm not going to complain.

Hope it all works out for you.

You know what, it's funny you should say that. I just went with a friend to have an exhaust installed on his sti at the dealership and came across something that I'm seriously considering.. it's an 05 sti (silver) w/ 40k miles. I spoke to the mechanic about it and he said that if he wasn't almost done with his wrx-sti conversion, he would be all over it. He spent some time talking to the previous owner of it and he was a guy in his late 50's that picked it up as a present for his grandson for graduation.. only to find out that his grandson wasn't graduating =\
After that he just kept the car and drove it to work everyday.. never dogged it or anything, all highway miles. I talked to him about the price and he told me they want 24k for it .

I think I might end up an sti owner pretty soon. Hey, subie owners can't be that bad, right? They did start the "Gold bond = dry nuts" thread.

As for an update on my "situation," I can't get in touch with the police officer that took the report for the life of me. I was told the only way that I can get the information off of the report is from him personally, which seems to be impossible. I really hope that I can touch bases with him tomorrow, cuz my neck is not feeling any better today. Damn this...
