Hey qwikz,
If you do work at the plant then my hat's off to you! I'm not sure where you are on the line, but I wanna say thanks to everyone who put time and effort in to the car, and a company building excellent products. This civic is our family's 4th Honda/Acura and 2nd in more imediate and I just love it. I've already persuaded at least 2 others to get the car (that I know have since bought one). And both are just as satisfied as I am. Sincerely, A true honda boy (no rip offs intended :) ) |

Wow that hurt my brain trying to read what you wrote, you honestly sound like your 14 so im not going to even bother with you anymore.
I dont have time to deal with kids. BTW maybe you should take some reading lessons along with english lessons.I said don't buy a first year production car until at least 9 months after it's introduction,I didnt say they started building them 9 months ago. Way too much wasted skin in the gene pool. Sorry skittleslegend, but I just had to and in return you do what you have to do. Quote:

Normally I would delete this and send a PM, but since I got here late, and it seems everybody else has pretty much shunned you, I guess I don't have to do anything. A couple pointers for you: 1. Don't call other people names on this forum. Not only is it against forum policy, but it just shows that you can not have a civil conversation. It make you look bad, and nobody listens to people yelling and calling names. Generally speaking, you have the opposite effect you want; more people are now going to go on to his side. You can be a much more effective person by simply learning to control your anger. I will grant you he should not have called you a redneck, but you called him out first with a rather angry statement. 2. The number of post he has nothing to do with it. A person’s number of post only indicates how much time they spend on the boards; it communicates nothing about their intellectual level. So don't worry about post counts. And it's not exactly like you have the highest post count around, so I wouldn't go bragging about it. One good post is worth far more than 1,500 bad ones. |

I dont know about over all quality verses plants. I just know our Accord and Civic should have never left Ohio with there hoods adjusted as poorly as they were. I adjusted the Accord's hood and the dealer adjusted the Civic's hood. Its pretty sorry that the factory allows them to leave with such glaring fitment issues for a dealer to fix. And if the dealer dosent fix them then lay it on the custmers shoulders to make them fix it. That isnt right.
With issues like a poorly adjusted hood that I know several folks had to see and sign off on before the cars went out to a staging lot, one has to wonder if anybody ever checks the dash mount points? Its aparent nobody checked the ones on our Accord. The Accord is going in saturday for its last round of warrenty investigation. The Civic has seemed to settle down. I do think Honda has quality issues and there goal has been to build the best engines in the world and keep a high quality feel to the controls. Of which they have done. Paint, fitment and other areas have suffered. I think we are seeing the first signs of GMish syndrome in Honda autos and motorcycles. I think Hondas getting to big for there pants. They are working in other areas like robitics and aircraft. You have to steal from Peter to pay Paul for this kinda stuff. Theres no way around it. Sure the robtics in the long run will help with production of other products down the line. As will tech. and matrials from there work in aircraft. I think a prime example is the over all thin paint jobs they put on the cars now days. Remove the EPA and the flat out over all low quality of the paint jobs. Your left with really thin paint. Good or bad. Putting just enough paint on to get by with leaves funds to go to other resources, IMO. I think the problem is corprate greed and employee attidude in the long run. Not the plants as a whole or the engineering. If I may. I have a buddy thats a engineer with Ford and one with Saturn. My buddy that works with Ford has been working for 3 years to improve there paint quality. And it shows, looking at the cars on the lot at the local Ford dealer. Fords still lagging in engine design and enginering. There new I4 is a step in the right direction. Even if it is a poorly done Honda knock off. :) My other buddy works with Saturn engines. They have had many problems with pissed off employee's at a engine plant. The union gets a bug up there ass. So they start sneaking chicken bones into engines in the past. I would think some of this happens with our Honda's. A disgruntal employee can do alot of damage real fast. I dont think its so much a plant location thing. Its the human and corprate element's that give us what we have. Sorry for the long poorly writen and thought out post. :) psy |

On a lighter note. I think I see a candidate for a new "Quote of the week" in one of those posts. Yay.
