Chirping sound in Right rear wheel.

About a week ago i was driving this road heading into a sharp L curve. I was driving the speed limit but didn't realize that the curve was full of sand/gravel. As soon as I turned the curve my rear fishtailed slamming my right rear wheel into the curve with strong force. I thought the damage was extensive when I looked in the side mirror and seeing so much dirt flying up. Thankfully it was only minor gashes to the lip of my rim. Now the problem. Ever since that happened, I've been hearing this annoying chirping sound when I drive coming from that wheel. The sound just gets faster as I drive then it turns into another weird chirping sound as I hit the breaks. Does anyone have a clue what it might be? I know I need to get my front aligned because my steering wheel is way off now. Any help please?

Maybe you have like sand or debris stuck between the disc and the caliper?

Try to rinse it

Thanks. I'll let you know after I rinse. If that doesn't work, rear alignment.

Dude you bent something in the rear. Probably the spindle or even possibly the knuckle. If your steering wheel is off center now from hitting your REAR wheel then you bent something pretty badly. I would not drive on that for too long. You will destroy your tire on that wheel. I am an ASE master tech so take my advice and go directly to Honda on this. Pay the extra money and get it fixed right. Most shops will NOT get it right and your car will never be the same. Trust me.

Depends on what is damaged and what can be saved. If it's the spindle and you bent it enough to damage the rotor from it grinding against other parts then it will be expensive. Try contacting your insurance company and say you slid in a pile of sand and have it fixed. You don't want to damage other still good parts by waiting too long.

warranty doesn't cover you slamming into a curb

and as for insurance, it depends on how much damage there is and what your deductible is. might be cheaper to just do it out of pocket. insurance will go up because its an "at fault" accident

Ok, rinsing didn't work so I know I'm screwed. Soxfan143, thanks for your help. I'll be going to my Honda dealership first thing tomorrow morning. I'm hoping it's just the calipers that need adjusting. Thanks again.

NP bro. But I highly doubt it's only the caliper. But keep me posted and let me know exactly what they tell you is wrong and what they plan to replace BEFORE you agree to anything. PM me the info as well so I can be alerted through my BlackBerry and I can check right away just in case you need a response right away. Good luck man..

Ok, I'va had this problem since May 26th. Finally got it fixed today. Sqeeeek free!!!

Had the wrecked rim replaced with a new one. The part on display was severly dent on the inside causing my rims to wobble. The tire's now uneven and the brake pad was chewed out. Well, it's finally fixed. No more sqeeeks, no more headaches and embarrassing moments at stop lights where I waited for the people next to me to go first just so they woulded notice.
