Cool rear shock replaced, engine oil leak repaired by dealer.

first of all, thank you all for posting up your problems and experience here! helped me sooooooo much with my problems!

Problems I have
1) Engine Oil Leak (repaired by the dealer. took 2 days)
2) rear shock problem (repaired by the dealer. took 1 day)
3) noisy sound coming out from the passenger side when driving over somethig like speed bumps or on bad conditioned road. (no idea what it is. Dealer did not know what it was causing the problem. they didn't really care)
4) my driver's side door does not close well. I have to slam it to close it. (Dealear said it was air pressure in the car <== bullsh!t they refused to repair it)
5) My dashboard does not fit leaving gap (Dealer tried to reinstall them but did not work)
6) Engine makes noisy when driving at low rpm (1500rpm). It goes away when I speed up

From here just me talking sh!t..

I drive a 06' civic 4dr EX model. almost 9 month old.

I drove my car for first 6 month without even knowing that my car was leaking engline oil because my driveway was always covered with snow and ice, plus my previous car had the same problem, leaking engline oil. So i thought the oil mark was from my previous car (VW new beetle). and REALLY!!? who would think that a brand new car would leak engine oil?????

Honda dealer found it out when I brought my car to the dealer for oil change. They said it was the headgasket in the engine. They took 2 days to repair it. They refused to offer me a rental car. however, after i talked to my salesman, they finanlly offered me a rental car.

As I drive more and more, i realized that my rear shocks didn't seem like working well. whenever i drove over speed bums it felt like i was driving a can of pepsi. it was so loud that i could get attenion from people walking by my car. After reading stuff from this site, also i printed out 30 pages of the forum about this issue, I brought my car back to the dealer. asked them to test drive it. they said they needed to replace the rear shocks.

After 9 month, I finally feel like driving a NEW CAR after all these problems.

i have the same issue with my 06 si as well as my 03 si. air pressure seems like a reasonable explanation cuz when i crack a window open, door closes fine.
just wondering why you're calling BS on that one.

anyways, good to hear you're happy with the car now.

well, it's because they have worked on my doors "secretly".

I went back for an oil change one day. they have "secretly" put grease on the bars that holds the doors.

probally the technician felt that the door wasn't fitting good when he was changing my oil.

however, i still have the problem with the door.

plus, i tried what you did. i left the window open and tried to close it.

but samething, it didn't close well. so i guess i really have a problem with my door.

i dun really mind it. but god, i have a problem with my car like every month.

the dealer manager called me today cuz she felt sorry for me and she was scared that i wouldn't come back to Honda again. She kindly asked me if i had any more problems with my car. and of couse i did. she made an appointment with me on this friday.

Re: door not closing

There is an adjustable stop for the door located (I believe) in the pillar. It looks like a rubber plug, but it has threads and can be adjusted in or out by turning it. Sorry I can't be more specific. I've seen a thread in here that covered it, but can't find it by searching.

Good luck... sounds like you've had a tough time. The joys of being a first model year owner.

Edit: It's not on the pillar but on the door itself, about midway up.
