this has been discussed on here alot.. I have the same problem sometimes too. It's weird, and sometimes it'll pop out and grind if you don't make shure to kinda shove the shifter in there huh?

SS = Short shifter.

I have been a victim to this problem a few times. It might be some times my lazy clutch foot not totally depressing the clutch.

I've started having the notch problem lately too and I have the Comptech SS. It doesn't happen all the time though. I've never had any grinding as a result though. I've got some CorSport metal bushings ready to put in but I don't know if that will make a difference.

I have the same problem sometimes... I have the SS, bushings, and Skunk2 knob, all of which helped the problem- but it's still there. Before I put in the shifter parts, I took it to Honda (to fix a paint chip and reflash [which they didn't do...]) and I also mentioned the notchiness in 3rd.

"No Problem Found", go figure.

A good ole fashion engine warm up should do the trick. But for some reason, I'm having a hard time shifting into SECOND GEAR!!!! why is that?

I had this problem. I would grid putting the car in 1st from neutral at a stop light. 1st-3rd always felt notchy. Took my car to the dealer and they replaced 1st and 2nd gear sets and the syncros. They have seen this on 11 cars and mine made it the 12th. They also told me not to shit into 1st above 5mph. There is also a reflash for the pcm. My car would stay in the throttle for about 2 seconds after letting off. It was a nightmare in Atlanta traffic. The car would lunge and buck. I believe this was a contributing factor as well.

as usual... i went there

tech test drove it...nothing

they wouldn't replace the fluid unless they find metal shaving on the magnetic drain plug... I was so sure about the metal shaving but didn't wanna take any chance. I wil ljust grind a little then go back. I got my problem documented so it shoudl be good if anything else happens
