parking brake

well i tired search about this topic but i didnt find anything, and no i wasnt trying to drift my car! tonight i was out to safeway and cvs. at the cvs parking lot theres a really small incline to the lot and i parked and pulled up the e-brake as for as it would go and by the time i got back out i notice my car had moved 2 - 3 feet. welli moved on to safeway parked at another really small inlcine and parked close to the curb to see if the car would move any and once again i pulled the e-brake all the way up. got back out and it moved a tiny bit. anyone else had any problems with their parking brakes?

Are you putting your car in gear as well?

at cvs i was parked facing forward so my rear wheels were at the top of the small incline and put it in reverse and at safeway i the other way around with it in first gear.

I think the handle is a little weird, like you have to really yank that bitch or it won't engage anything. I think the "BRAKE" light on the dash comes on when the handle is half pulled out, but the brake itself doesn't seem to be engaged unless you pull it out completely.

Maybe that's just me though, I have an Automatic so I've only ever really used that thing twice, mostly just put it in park. Ohio is flat as hell, also, so I rarely ever park on a hill.

I definitely think you should have it looked at. Just like the guy that tried to engage his parking brake while moving, it sounds like something's wrong with your brake.

I park on a fairly steep hill nearly every night and my car never moves. It doesn't even creep the 1-2 inches Kakashi's friend's car does. Mine stays when I engage the parking brake.

yeah my friend doesnt crank it up to the max, likes to let the tranny hold the car a tiny bit.

but yeah, as iterated, should be minimal movement.

i drive a LX sedan, when i pull it about 3/4ths the way up, the car doesnt budge.
