Angry Problem with new Si

My friend just got his new Si about 4 days ago and we recently started hearing a knocking sound. Check engine light came on. It has something to do with the head. Hope you can get this fixed cuz this is bs. Any ideas?

Wow, that's terrible. I'd bring it back to the dealership immediately. Sounds like he got one that was made on a Friday afternoon. No reports of anything close to that happening on here.

i call complete BS on this thread. why would a check engine light come on for engine knock? check engine light = emissions, not a knock sensor.

i smell a troll.

I'm inclined to agree. ^

Besides, if his friend cared that much about his new investment, it wouldn't be a second thought to bring it to a dealership.

I must say that we have 93 octane here in TX, no knocks whatsoever. It was around 62 degrees this morning on the way to work, the car was noticibly faster because it was cooler. The fall is going to be REALLY fun! :)
