EVO2 exhuast

hey there fellas.
bought an evo2 exhaust and i love the way it looks nd sounds hence thts the reason i bought it. but i got it without any gaskets.. i was told i can just use the stock ones? how accurate is that?

also i understand the evo2 exhaust is made for the coupe, so id need the adapter piece or go to a muffler shop and they fabricate one for me?

im more concerned about the gaskets. so share your knowledge with me..

find out what size the ID of the exhaust and go buy the gasket from autozone or some where alike. i guess you have a sedan, yes you either need the adapter from greddy or just go to to a muffler shop and get a 2in piece welded to fit.

Greddy makes the adapter for the sedan. I have the evo 2 on my fg2 and it came with one gasket for connecting the axel back to the midpipe. There was no stock gasket for this when i took off my exhaust, only the one that connects the cat to the mid pipe.(you wont even know its there, its a donut gasket or something like that)

I would suggest purchasing metal gaskets or compression gaskets that compress with the bolt torque to get a good seal. Lexus uses them on their exhaust repairs.
