Notch in Clutch Pedal???
i have FA1 5 speed only mods are exhaust and wheels
the last couple days i have noticed about 20%-50% of the shifts have this notch while i am letting out the clutch about 3/4 of the way out (almost fully engaged) and the car is warmed up too (i have experienced how cold weather affects cars and driveability) i know the clutch isnt slipping because i tested that by going like 20 mph in 4th and mashing the pedal and the rpms didnt jump the car drives perfectly fine but there is that notch i can feel and hear right before it is all the way out every so often and it is annoying only when it happens because then sometimes it doesnt do it at all the car has almost 30k miles on it and i know it isnt driver error because i use the dead pedal and i rev match/heel toe...i dont beat on the car and when i go on "spirited runs" i am not killing my car does anyone know what the problem is? do i need to replace the clutch fluid? arent our clutches self-adjusting? (if that has anything to do with it) |

man... honeslty i think its the dbw killing the clutches early... i think ur experiencing notchy ness in shifting.try to change ur fuild and see if that helps it any bit. or just take it to the dealer and try to get them to look into it.

omg first response...lol
funny thing is that the notch stopped the only thing i can think of now is that the clutch was adjusting itself or something because a week before that i decided to start double clutching everywhere (dont ask i just wanted to thought it would be cooler than just rev matching)...anyways after about 4-5 days with the notch i just went back to normal rev matching shifting and i guess it worked its way back to normal??? we have self adjusting clutches right? technically i dont know what is going on but if that is the case i guess that might have been the problem and i need to get my tranny fluid changed soon...im almost at 30k |
