NOOB question

So I was being an idiot and speeding today. it's a real safe place to do it since nobody crosses the street, there's no lights or anything and good visibility, but still, I got excited about my hfp suspension and it was late.

Anyway, there's a manhole that I hit that's weird cause it sort of juts out with a mound of asphalt about 4 inches or so. I hit this going 70 and it sounded loud, but when I didn't get a flat or anything nor is the lip of my rim bent or anything. I was wondering though...

1. I assume you'd sooner blow a tire before bending any suspension?

2. can you really bend the middle of a rim? I would think again you'd blow the tire first before bending the rim and that the lip only really gets bent when it is hit physically, not from trauma.

Help a paranoid guy out cause I don't really have somewhere to lift the car and really inspect it. tia!

Is there any difference in the handling or characteristics of your car? Can you see any physical damage?

Well you would assume your tire would be damaged before anything since it did come in contact with it first, but tires can take a lot of damage and it could be possible that your suspension probably took a good hit.

As far as #2 goes, i have yet to hear anyone say that they bent the middle of a rim while driving before.

what do you mean by "took a good hit"? You mean there's a good chance I did bend something? I would think things like the bump stop and the tires would absorb a lot before I would bend the suspension...

the car seemed to drive fine afterward.

I think you are fine if some thing was bent you would feel it right away.
