Car keeps shutting off...

Anyone have any clue why my car keeps shutting off? i needed to pass emissions, and i didnt think it would be a bad idea to only install the top half of the stock air box on my CAI, im thinking this is the problem, since the connection keeps getting ****** up. I did a couple burnouts today lol, just part of a vid with some friends, but any reason why THAT would cause it to keep shutting off? I checked the connection, it was off after that, and when i put it back on even, the car would idle for a bit, then smoothly shut off... ? I have no clue what to do here... any advice? there is no engine knocking noise, and the car shifts smoothly, it also turns on with no problem...

i did a bit after that, i dont know why it would be my fuel lines, i did nothing with them...the major problem came after the connection between the bottom of the cai and the stock box came undone..

sort of lol. i kept the bottom half on, disconnected it about midway, right around the battery, then use one of the flex pipes on the stock system to put the stock airbox on the top, and plug my mass air flow sensor into the stock box lol. kinda odd i kno

If you plugged in the MAF and the rest of the hose connections on the "fake" stock intake and left your CAI hooked up to your throttle body then you've got to switch it around. You will have to have one set up correctly, not both 1/2 connected.

no the stock intake is connected to the throttle body, then the lower part is the CAI, ill just have to pull out the lower part today and reconnect it so it works with the stock so that i can pass emissions.
