Windshield Replacement

Well, I was driving down a highway and a rock came up and cracked my windshield right in front of the driver's seat.

I live in Florida so my insurance covers my windshield 100%. Now I just have a couple of questions.

1. Where should I get my windshield replaced? (Honda, Safelite, etc.)
2. Does anyone know if my insurance will pay to have the tint strip put on the new windshield? (Since I have the tint strip on my existing windshield)

I would assume that insurance coverage is only for factory equipment unless you have specifically insured any aftermarket modifications/equipment. Just an assumption though.

If you have a tint strip Insurance will replace it as well when you glass is replaced. They may just cut you a check for it ...just depends on company
