Yes, but it's not going to empty out in 3 years or less.
You should take your car to the dealer and have it checked out. If the system is too low to function or empty (and you car isn't 10 years old) there is a leak that needs to be checked out. Unfortunately the condensor on these cars likes to eat rocks. |

If you dont feel the engine go under load when the button is pressed, the compressor is to blame. The clutch is probably not engaging. Look at your fuse and relay and make sure they are fine. Test them with a multimeter on resistance to be sure. If they test out okay, you have a leak. It also may be the blower motor resistor if you arent feeling any air at all...cold or hot on full blast.
