Car is in any gear but won't go...HELP

Hey everyone,

My car is currently in the shop today (2008 Honda Civic SI 2dr). The problem I was having is that the car would be in any gear and will not go, all it does is rev. Could this be a clutch or transmission problem? I only have 12k miles on it and had it for about 15 months. I dont see what could be the cause of this. Also when I put it in 1st gear and let off the clutch it does not stall, it rolls forward like an automatic car would do when you let off the brake. The car was working fine last night with no symptoms of any problems and all of the sudden this morning it will not work. I haven't done anything to the car yet that could also affect the car. If anyone has had this problem before and has any insight I'd greatly appreciate. Thanks in advance!

that makes sense because it would roll foward when you take your foot off the brake like you stated due to the LSD.

It does sound like your clutch is trash. I had this exact same problem in my EK hatch w/a GSR motor. The clutch was totally destroyed. Once I got the clutch replaced the car was fine.
