trunk problem

hi everyone. i have a problem with my rear 2006 honda civic si trunk. the trunk would not open. im assuming hte latch assembly is damaged. so i waas wondering how can i open the rear trunk then if the remote key nor the front driver side latch wouldnt open the trunk??? sorry for the noob question. thanks in advance.

not sure about you but on my ex there is a manual latch that you can use from the inside of the trunk. but of course you would have to put the back seats down in order to get to it and i dont think you can really put it down from the inside.

ic. for my si the seats go down if u open the trunk first and then unlatch the seats down.

Have some one pull up on the trunk while you pull on the handle by the drivers seat.

If that does not work use a baseball bat....LOL

Not sure about the remote trunk pop not working but this happened to me awhile ago when the cabin latch didn't work... Trunk latch not working? Just a simple FYI... Did you try using your key to open it as well?

Some trunks dont have a key hole.
