Is anyone else having a problem opening their door? The left rear door on my sedan is acting up and it took me at least 5 minutes to open it today. I had to push the open and close button on the key and the driver door many, many times before it finally opened. The problem is that it doesn't happen all the time and I have a feeling that when I go to the dealer the problem won't be there. Anyone have any insight on this? Thanks.

what happens when you try to open it? does it act as if it were still locked?
sounds like some gunk (or other obstruction) is affecting the door rod operation - i created that problem for myself with my last car after i dynamatted the door and jammed the door rod :) |

well here's a pic of the inside of a rear door with the weathershield removed:
![]() you can see the depression in the top left where the door handle and mechanism fits in... it's possible that some excess goop normally used to hold the weathershield has gotten into your handle mechanism... if you haven't modified your doors at all though, i'd recommend just taking it up with honda service. |
