Ingalls ETD Popping

My ETD has made a loud popping noise several times. Have I blown it?

if you have it set as stiff as possible and in a really cold area, it pops till it gets warmed up if no oil is felt on the shafts you should be fine..

There's no fluid leakage, and it pops during shifts. Has happened 2-3 times.

do ou have the factory tranny mount or have you changed it? make sure the popping isnt actually the tranny banging, i have mine set up with a solid mount and my dampner set stiff, i do feel a solid engagment while shifting. i dont recomend this if your worried about trans problems or a harsh shifter, you can damage balance shafts and shift forks , need to be dead on during shifting..more or less if you can drive an unsprung 6 puck with solid mounts then this may be for you , also if tranny work is not a big deal.

ButchMX!
After installing, I had random pops in reverse, 1st gear, and 1st to 2nd. After a week, it just went away.

i got rid of my ETD for this reason, sometimes on launch I would get a popping noise, and starting the car. i just got a dog bone replacement and got rid of the etd. it has a little more engine noise than the etd, but i like it!!!
