Interior door panel

When I open/close my window, the top of the interior door panel moves in/out noticeably. Furthermore, doing this causes the door panel to become unclipped from the door at the rear edge (you can see it when you open the door).

Does anyone else have this problem?

take it to the dealer. sounds like your seal is binding with the glass.
don't mess with the up/down for now so you don't burn out the motor.

mine does the same thing, but not enough to unclip the trim panel. honda made the new civic's door trim panels and inner door skins remarkably flimsy...

Thanks for the replies.

To clarify, it only happens right when the window closes/meets the top of the frame and just after opening. It seems as though the glass doesn't fit into the top seal properly and it has to wedge itself in there.

The door panel does not move/flex during the entire stroke of the window.

Mine does that to, like when you press the button right when the window comes down, the door panel moves out, and when it goes back up the door panel moves in. I figured it was making room for the window.. lol.. but maybe i was wrong!

It is the regulator exerting force on the inner door skin that it is bolted to it flexes the inner skin. Alot of cars do this. Every one of the Lexus models do this and every car i have owned does it.

in the case of our civics though, i think the inner skin might be too flexible. i agree with it moving inwards at the top of the window travel to achieve a better seal, but with the window either up or down, the trim panel (and the inner skin to which it is attached) flexes considerably when you pull on the grab handle. try this on a honda accord and it won't budge at all; it's as solid as a rock.

Although my driver's door panel is not unclipping itself, it does move noticably, and when I release the switch from the up position, the glass drops slightly.

None of the other windows do this. Not even slightly. Going to dealership tomorrow to discuss this as well as several other minor issues.

Mine doesn't do anything with the window, but it does move noticeably and causes an ANNOYING light creaking kind of sound that is only really evident if you are in the driver seat.

The dealer thinks I'm insane everytime I point this out and thusly has not been fixed.

Anyone else have this issue?
