intake removal question... R18 non si

how the heck in the world do you remove this weird thing? it has some rubber piece under it? i can't bolt it off b/c it's shaped like a half circle. please let me know. this is what im talking about.

Yea that piece is a pita. What I did was remove all the hoses and tubing first. Next I removed the bolt or bolts (can't remember how many) that's holding the intake box. Then just pull as hard as you can.

yeah just yank on the thing. I found it's one of those peices that you can't be gentle with.

yea, its more of a pop-in kinda thing...just yank till it comes...
