Is FOBS key cover under warranty?

this morning my fobs key is not working and i am wondering if it's covered under warranty on my 07 civic? thanks

did u do anything to it to make it stop working? (drop it, drop it in water, run over it, step on it...etc)

I dont think its under warranty. They are roughly $175 to replace though

if the fob does not have water in it nor abuse. yes it should be covered under factory warranty. if you look into it too. the battery should be covered as well under bumper to bumper. my honda dealer replaced many batterys under warranty. so like everyone says bring it to the dealer.

no, i haven't change the battery. when i press the key, the little red light lits up, so the battery is not dead. I will go to the dealer and see if i can get it under warranty. thanks!

Just because the light comes on, doesn't mean it the battery has enough juice to run all of the electronic components inside of the fob.
