Question about oil level?
My car has only 550 km (break in period). Today i just check the oil level and its in the middle of the (XXXX) at the final of the dipstick. Is this normal? Should'nt be at the top of the (XXXX).
Thanks Update: I just check my manual and it saids that oil shold be betwen the marks, so its ok. Last edited by crincon; 08-29-2006 at 01:13 PM. |

i keep the oil around the middle mark on all my cars when cold.
(pull dipstick out, wipe with towel, dip the stick back in all the way, count to 5, pull up and see where the oil level is). it's user preference. it's better to have less oil than too much, but FULL is not too much. pour in about 1/4 quart and remeasure until you're at where you want it to be. |
