Power Steering Decided it wanted to peace out!!

so im driving home Then out of no where the power steering goes out, it was alittle irratating but i wasnt to bummed becuase, i was actually planning on taking the car in to get it serviced. So im driving around this big turn with no power steering and it decides to start working again the steering wheel jerks to the right getting us alittle sideways. hopefully this has not happened to anyone else; it seemed alittle dangerous when i thought about it. just wanted to bring this issue to the table and see if its happened to anyone else if not then i guess gods really out to get me and i should expect a painful death in my near future.

Aside from God or the devil whacking you, what's the worse that can happen with electric power steering assist?

I drove my step father's '66 Mustang, driving that thing gives your arms such a work out! After driving slow and parking a few times it my arms felt like wet noodles. It's such a weird feeling to drive something with only 3 gears, fake AC, and when you make turn you're really making the wheels turn (people must've been stronger back then out of necessity).

Long live Honda!!!

I remember my experience with my cuz's NSX. No power steering = great at highway speeds = a b*tch to park.

The same thing happening to me at the worse time. Traffic, crazy twisty PA roads.

My '88 Prelude Si had a leaky power sterring hose right above the heatshield for the exhaust. We cut the belt for it when no one could find a part and I was tired of on again, off again steering. No power steering was fine. Great on the road. I'll tell you what, I learned how to parallel park that car like a pro. No powersteering in downtown Chicago on a Prelude. I've never doubted my parallel parking skills since.
