Like the steering wheel setup?

I have a hard time steering with the steering wheel due the fact my hands aren't big enough or something. The handles above the switch controls are a tad too fat for my gripping and I can't position my hands where I want them which is at the 180 and 0 degrees. I just wish it looked something like the steering wheel from the 92' integras. And then when I make u turns it's not smooth coming back into neutral position. I practically have to hold the wheel while the car straightens out. What's your take on the wheel?

I can't say I have any real issues, though I also use 10-2 grip, typically, when just driving about.

The 9 and 3 position on the sedan is a bit awkward if you have large hands like me. The spokes are at the 3:30 and 8:30 position for some reason. Also, why they went with two spokes instead of three is beyond me. Anyhow, it's no biggie...just gotta adjust and get used to it.

I do quite like the thickness and small diameter (radius, circumference, whatever you want to call it) of the steering wheel.

BoneStock, for turning, try using a very light grip with the fingers and use more pressure with your palms, pushing into the turn rather than pulling into the turn (i.e. if you're turning right, push the wheel with your left hand). And what do you mean that the turns aren't smooth coming back? Maybe there's something wrong with your power steering? You might just need more time behind the wheel of your Civic so can adjust to how your car handles.

I absolutely love the steering wheel in the 2006 Civic and so has anyone who has seen it or touched it.

Actually, here's a little Honda trivia question for you all regarding the new steering wheel... Who designed it?

^ LOL. I guess you learn something new everyday.

I do think the steering wheel looks a little weird, mainly because it's not very large diameter-wise. Also, the spokes are rather thick and the airbag/horn stick outs rather far.

I really think the Civic EP3 has a really nice steering wheel.

to the OP: are you reaching too far? a good test is - sit comfortably in your seat and put your wrist on the top (12:00 position) on the steering wheel. your shoulders should not leave the seatback. this ensures good position for steering, shifting, and working the pedals.
