How does your car being a daily driver mean you need all season tires? Im not saying there is anything wrong with AS tires... but your response to OrdnanceMarine's post makes it seem as if AS tires are 'necessary' for a DD ... which they absolutely are not.

not that i know of... getting rid of that light isnt worth tearing apart your dash, IMO. i'd rather just adjust my steering wheel so it blocks my view of it

When I had my TPMS swapped out, I helped the guy that was changing it and it was really easy. All we had to do was break the bead on the tires just to give us enough room to slide the sensors out. We didn't have to waste time by taking the whole tire off. Taking the nut/stem sleeve was real easy too using the right tool.

That's what I've been doing. But, really, before reading this, I tried everything but ripping my dash apart. I'd much rather suck it up and pay the $89. All you need is an 11 MM deep socket to disconnect/reconnect the sensors: ![]() (Sorry about the huge pic. I also apparently failed to take a zoomed in pic of the socket wrench on the sensor. ) 1. Take the cap off. 2. Use the 11 MM socket to remove the nut. 3. Pull off the ring. Do this in reverse to put them back on.

Since i just recently got my 06-07 hfp 17 rims, and they don't come with tmps.
After i purchase the tmps and put them on the rim. Do i really have to put foam tape between the tmps and rim because that is what i heard from the podcast from collegehillshonda and seen on the 87th post since there is a small gap, or can i just leave a small gap? Will it make much of a difference? |

Pardon my not-wanting to read through the whole thread, but what's the purpose of a TPMS again? Doesn't everyone check their pressure every few weeks anyway? Or is it a feature designed to alert us to dangerous/noteworthy tire-pressure changes as we're driving along...which means we should pull over and check it out...type of thing?
