Front Fender LOOSE!?
So I was washing and waxing my car today and I noticed my front fender was loose (passenger side).
The part of the fender down near the bottom is pushed out a little and is really loose. Anyone know how that can be tightened up? My car has never been in any accidents or anything. Robots musta been lazy when they were putting it together. Thanks for your input |

Do you know if you can access the bolts for the fender behind the fender well? |

I can't tell you exactly how to fix it. All I can tell you is I have the same thing on the driver's side. The entire fender is sticking out ever so slightly and it doesn't sit flush to the driver's door, it's protruding by no more than 1/8". The bottom is sticking out by around 1/4".
I showed the bottom part to the dealership's assistant service manager and it was he who pointed out the protrusion of the fender's edge against the driver's door. Anyway, he told me that in order to fix it, the body shop has to remove or at least loosen the front bumper so they can get to the (I think) four bolts on the fender, push it in and re-tighten the bolts. He gestured one bolt in the hood area above the wheel well, one around 10" from the bottom part of the fender. I am not mechanically inclined at all, I'm just repeating what I was told so please don't hold it against me if it's inaccurate. Hopefully this helps even in a very little way. |

Strange I just noticed when I washed my car that mine is loose at the top of the same panel where it mates with the A pillar, everything is flush but if you're drying the car it moves all about(no pressure required) and comes back to where it was. The driver's side is solid no movement.
Must be something similar. |

It doesn't sound like it would be too hard to do. I'll give it a look and see if I can do it. If its just one bolt then I'll take care of it. |
