The only model of Civic that has xm radio built in is the ones with the navigation systems in them. Otherwise the car is just "xm radio ready" meaning you will have to purchase the equipment to use xm radio.

I bought a 07 with a navi in it and got 3 months of xm for free after that you only get the basic channels no music channels unless you start paying for it.

I would contact your dealer but I'm almost certain that the car doesn't have xm radio just is xm "ready". That's at least that's what I have always understood.
