R18 DBW lag - Lets get Honda to fix this!!!

I am leaving this for all R18 civic guys fed-up with this crap
DBW problem, its a thing we need to do to get the Honda tech
team to get workin on. The more complaints they get the faster
we get service on this issue.

CANADA
1-888-946-6329

Once enough peeps complain the Honda Tech team goes to town!!

My car and Service techs civics are already documented by Honda

I don't see why anyone would have a problem with it unless they were racing their R18. I don't race mine, but regardless, I don't have a problem with it.

i get annoyed with it sometimes, theres this one intersection that my car cant more through at any decent speed cause of the lag for some reason, its so noticiable that my roomate told me to stop fooling around and floor it, i already had.

Theres the number for the U.S
The more calls the better, Cuz once Honda sees this as an
ongoing issue they will get their Techs to investigate it.
Once they see this issue they will try to remedy it as a "recall"
but this is where it gets interesting....

If you have your car documented it will get fixed on a first-time
basis as long as you had documented it in the first place. As long
as Honda sees this and fixes it eventually.

Good luck to all.

I don't really notice the lag at all. I'll give you all an update once I install my CAI this week.

its not a lag....its when you hit the accelerator and it
chokes... then takes off. Its more like a delay in throttle
response.

just to make sure....

get in your car and find somewhere desolate and safe...
at a complete stop....punch it like your in a race but
dont rev it up to get the tires screaming. Just a clean
but as fast as you can off the line acceration.

As soon as you floor it, this is where its felt!
The car chokes bad enough where it lunges for a brief moment (delay
in throttle response) then the car takes off.

This applies to any gear when you punch it i believe.
Im just trying to help you guys out to get your car fixed if
yours does this. This also may be related to cars with a certain
release date, VIN#, etc...??

that was my FIRST thought, this is an economy car first and foremost not a sports car, not a racer, not even "sporty" IMO. a little lag because of the DBW or whatever is not an issue.
I haven't had this issue once since i've had my civic and i drive it hard time to time and i personally think that it seems by the sounds of things that smoe people need alittle lesson in how to drive or launch as it were a manual transmission car.

if you have lag with the DBW why would u want to add more lag in the form of turbo lag? that's like lag squared!

Turbos dont necassarily have lag, it all depends on what you have/
My Daytona had virtually very low to none on a Garret turbo
and smoked alot of cars in the process.

but im not getting to much into this aspect as this is off topic now!
and like i mentioned its not really a lag but instead a "choking on acceleration"

and....this turbo R18 would spank your Si's
