Clutch pedal squeaking

Hey I just started noticing that my clutch pedal will squeak when I start to lift my foot off of it. You can feel it in the clutch too. It only seems to do it when the car is in gear (I tried getting it to do it in neutral and nothing happened).

Has anyone noticed this at all? I will probably have the dealer look at it at my next oil change, it's just kind of annoying.

I felt a slight something in my clutch (possibly a vibration/noise) when my car was still really new (but old enough to where I could tell it wasn't the NORMAL feeling of the clutch) and I got worried and was about to take it in. It felt like a stronger version of what you feel when you downshift to slow down. My friends said that was just my clutch breaking in. I gave it a few days and the feeling went away and felt smooth again. I have not felt it since and never took it in.

Hmm, well, I have about 15000 miles on it now. And it's been doing it off and on for about 2 weeks now. Ill probably just bring it in to the dealer, but just wondering if anyone else noticed this too.

thanks!

its happened to me and i took it to the dealer and they told me it was the donut gasket in the exaust where it meets the headers and they just lubed it up, but shortly after it started doing it again so i had them replace the gasket and now its all good.

I 'm in Brazil and our Civic is just like the American. Except the steering wheel, we got the SI's !

Mine is a manual LX level. I had a similar problem. But I would say it was a squeak more than creak.

I changed the way I lift my foot of the clutch. I found out that if that if I pushed the gas pedal a little while lifting of the clutch the squeak would not happen. Now I don't hear it any more.

I have driven at least 6 different manual cars in my life and never had this kind of problem. At low speeds just controlling the clutch to move the car, at slow speeds.
But with the Civic, I can't do this, I have to push the gas.

I felt that as I let off the clutch, it starts to vibrate and it's kinda worrying me. It's annoying. Does anyone know what the cause of this problem is or experience? If so, if you took it to the dealer, what did they say?

Mine did it last winter but went away after a month or so. If it starts doing it again I may bring it in.

Yeah, I noticed the clutch squeak issue as well. I tried puting grease on the upper shaft of the pedal and that seemed to help a bit. I'm due for an oil change so I'll probably mention it to the dealer. Its just a minor annoyance really.

i wonder if the squeaky clutch pedal becomes the clicking clutch pedal?

my clutch pedal was squeaking for a while, then it went away. shortly after, my pedal started clicking and needed to be replaced.

These dang hydraulic clutches Honda makes for the Civics...always developing squeaks, clicks, etc. Is sad, just waiting for the day my car starts doing it. My '04 EX coupe had this problem constantly, clutch master cylinder is usually the culprit. When replaced the problem will go away but it will probably come back.

If just a slight squeak and no noticeable difference in how the clutch pedal feels when pushing it, than it could just be something somewhere up in the pedal shaft and the parts that is connected to - some lithium grease or something like that can be applied up in the there to get rid of it.

all you have to do is spray the rubber by where the pedal compresses and the sound will go away. Just use some canned lubricant of your choice

Mine's starting to click. Nothing you can really hear but it's more of a feeling under your left foot. Not as smooth as it used to be. I've only got 4k miles.
