Couple dumb questions.. SI coupe.

08 habanero red coupe si. was wondering how people like their lowering springs compared to coil-overs... thinking of purchasing the Eibach pro kit 1" drop. Stock 17's for now, Going to paint them black. Then buy different 17's when i can afford them. Also tint is illegal on the front windows here in jersey... but I am gonna tint them out.. Just wanted some oppinions I'm either think 35% front and back, or 5% back 35 front, or or 5% back plain front? Any opinions on looks? Also purchasing a Greddy TI-C exhaust, opinions on this as well? Or a better exhaust? hahah thanks everyone!

if front tint is illegal, dont tint em anyways, youre just asking for a ticket. its totally obvious if youve got tint on ur window vs if theres a legal vs. illegal %. IMHO, if its illegal, dont try and sneak it and dont tint the rear windows b/c it just looks wierd.

tints are illegal in front windows here in cali even though everybody and their mother has it. some do a limo tint all the way around or 5 in back and 20s on sides. IMO keep the sides same percentage or close dont make it a big difference or it will look weird. i have 15s in back and 30s on sides not to dark but dark enough i have beige interior tho so it seems lighter and i just roll windows down if i see cops. you can open ur sun roof if u see them to make it seem lighter.

I deff want to tint em... I just can not decide on the percentage i was really thinking 35% all the way around so it's not to dark.... or 5 in the back 3, and 35% or 25% in the front 2

lowering springs and sport shocks are a good non adjustable setup...good daily driver street setup, cuz who really needs adjustability when they dont go to the track or autoX events? anyways those springs i hear are good and offer a drop alot of people are happy with, i personally went with skunk2. im brand loyal to them and their quality of products...its a bigger drop than the prokit but i like it myself...depends on what all u want...and as far as that exhaust goes, i hear alot of people saying good things about it however i also went with a skunk2 70mm exhaust..so i cant tell u personally how either things your looking into purchasing will be like. but from what others have said on the forum that DO own them, they do really like both...

to the OP, i have an 07 habi red Si coupe w/ 20% tint all around, except for the front windsheild. my friend has an 06 habi red Si coupe w/ 5% all around, including the front windshield. his car looks really good AND, living in florida, keeps the inside of the car cool temperature wise. even with 20% and no windshield tint, it so somewhat difficult to drive at night in terms of visiblity, esp. when there are no street lights.

illegal tint is obvious too. and not tinting the rear window looks weird? are u talking about a coupe or sedan? either way, tinting only half the car would look weird IMO.

I'm in PA anything below 70% tint is illegal. That being said usually everyone with 20% around here gets busted. 35% usually causes no trouble, unless youre being pulled over for somthing else. I have 35 in the front and 20 in the back. Have had no trouble in pa, nj, and de. I think if you go with 5 in the back you are asking for trouble imo.

edit: also I would not do the whole windshield always gets busted up here i know a couple of guys who had it. That being said def. get the eyebrow done, mine is 20, its like an extra 20$ and you wont regret it.

70%?? lol you might as well have no tint. and you can get in trouble for 20% but not 35%? i mean, 35% is quite darker than 70%....

If tint is illegal in front then just tint everything besides the front...duh.
