Exclamation Climate Control and MPG Indicator questions

I get an EX sedan and found some problems. First I need to set the temperature to 26-28° (~80F) to get a comfortable interior. I used to drive an MB with climate control and 22° (~71F) is perfectly fine everytime.

Then the MPG indicator, I made some calculations and while it shows 12Km/l(~34MPG) city I get more or less 10.5Km/l (~30MPG)

Is there anybody experiencing some of these problems?

Thank you very much.

My Jetta burns gas when the A/C is on. (One of the reasons I almost never use it)

The little 2.Slow engine has to work hard to turn the compressor over. On the plus side the A/C can get pretty darn cold.

Leather seats, OEM courtesy lights standard?

ANd I wish we got the MPG indicator, post some pics when you can; I'm curious what it looks like and where it is.

Si, no leather, ACC, no OEM couresy lights, no MPG indicators, no defrosting side mirrors.
All done in an effort to make the car cost less. I would have willingly paid more for those features.

Don't those models also have paddle shifters on the steering wheel? Thought I saw a few pictures of that somewhere...

Paddle shifter is an option but the car is almost 1 second slower to 60 so I choose manual :)

And to me manual is more fun although I find this car is not that easy to hell and toe due to the DBW.

In India I went for the AT w/paddle shift since in the manual I anyway found a lag due to the DBW. Even though it may be a bit slower with less FE, I am very happy with the AT.

In India they are giving alloys, two tone interiors - beige and dark blue/grey, 6CD changer (no sub) and audio controls in rear armrest (instead of steering since 80% of cars are chauffeur driven), Auto climate control, leather steering (but no leather on seats - I actually prefer this due to our hot climate), somewhat different headlights/taillights. Fogs, leather, spoiler, etc. available as accessories.

Cómo haces la transformación de Km/l a MPG? Según lo que yo entiendo (lee lo siguiente de otra Thread:

To measure mpg i just do the following: 1) fill up gas (top), 2) Reset odometer, 3) drive half tank, 4) Refill tank again, 5) km per liter = km / liters filled up in second refill.

To transform km per liter to mpg: km per liter * (3,78 [liters / gallon] / 1,6 [km/miles]) = km per liter * 2,36
