2007 LX Low fuel lamp and digital tank level

Has anyone else noticed that there is ~3 gallons of gasoline left in the tank when the low fuel warning lamp first lights up? I have also found that there is ~2.5 gallons of gasoline in the tank when the last segment on the fuel tank scale disappears. This seems way to conservative in my opinion. Is this normal for those who also own a 2007 LX sedan?

I normally have 2.0 gallons left when the "low fuel light" comes on...
My wife's element has almost 4 gallons left when her "low fuel light" comes on...Yeah, it is conservative, but I guess honda figures better to be safe than sorry.

Every car with a gas gauge is like that. There is always a somewhat significant amount of gas left when the gauge reads empty.

Our cars have about 2+ gal. of reserve fuel below the last bar.

My low-fuel warning light lits up when I have about 12-14 liters or ~3 gal. of fuel left. And about 8-10 liters when the last bar disappears. I have the SGII that shows me that info.

I rarely get to the point where the light comes on and try to refuel when there are 4 bars showing on the gauge. How many gallons left in the tank when the light comes on or when the last bar disappears doesn't bother me.

I have about a gallon and a half when the last bar disappears and 2.5-3 when the light comes on. I kinda like being able to drive 50 miles after the last bar drops off. I do alot of out of state driving and it helps to have some extra fuel to find a decent station.

I don't keep the tank on "E", but I am not going to stop every 200 miles and fill up. With 2 gallons left in the tank, I should be fine, and shouldn't have to worry about water.

Apparently, that's a myth. The Myth of Condensation in Fuel Tanks by David Pascoe: Boat Maintenance, Repairs and Troubleshooting

I don't know about condensation being that big of a problem (if you're really worried about it just use a water remover once a month), but it is a good idea to keep at least a half tank of gas at all times to help dissipate the heat from the fuel pump increasing its longevity.

My 2007 LX sedan has a 13.2 gallon tank. I subtract how many gallons it takes to top off the tank to determine how much residual fuel was left in the tank at the time I topped it off.

For example, if the low fuel light comes on (typically happens when two segments or less are left on the level scale) and it takes 10 gallons of gas to top off the tank, then I know that the tank contained 3.2 gallons of gas before I topped it off.

If you read the manual, it states then when the light comes out, you have "approx" 1.9 gallons left.

And its been discussed over and over that the digital gauge is not perfectly accurate.
