Faulty visors!

I lowered my visor to shield myself from the sun and when I put them back up my driver's side visor broke. It seems like the bar that it rotates on binded up and the plastic housing split apart where it meets the material by the airbag warning. I had to hold it together tightly while I rotated it back up. Anyone else have this problem? I will post pics tonight.

I haven't had that happen yet, but the visors seem to be the only thing that keeps rattling in my car. I'm hoping they won't break, but it seems to be something that Honda could have thrown a couple more bucks into.

The same thing just happened to me this morning .
I guess it's to the dealership we go .
I think this mega heat wave we're having , triggered it .

I thought it was the heat too but my visors were cool to the touch when it happened. I dunno, maybe the heat weakened them. Either way. It's going to be fixed when I go in for my next service.

When I was at the dealer the other day the service tech (who is also a member at clubSi) told me that his visors have broken a few times due to heat, and they have seen several other customers with the same issue. It has not happened to me yet, but I can certainly see the flex and separation when I move the visor.

I see the flex/separation too, on my driver's side visor.

I took mine to the Dealer yesterday to have a new visor ordered. As of today, my driver side visor will only stay put in the open position. When i try to close the visor, it falls back in front of my field of vision. SOOO annoying. <keeping fingers crossed that the passenger side will not suffer the same fate. I use both visors to keep my sun shade in place when I am parked.

My guess is that these things will be failing a fairly large rate. The tension on the unit is far greater than that cheezy seam (plastic/fabric) can take. I use sun shades for the front window so I use mine alot, and they're both falling apart.
