noise from rear... hfp suspension and progress rear sway bar

got the sway bar and suspension installed at the beginning of the month. days later i noticed a noise from the rear while in reverse and turning at slow mph. at first a friend and i thought it was the rear dampers so we re-torque the dampers and after a quick stroll around the block still the same noise. now im think it’s the bushings on the rear sway bar, any suggestions on what to use to grease up the bushings? if that doesn’t work im going to swap out the progress sway bar and put on the oem one and have the dealer look at the rear dampers and springs since it already has to go back to the dealer to get the bumper, windshield wipers and interior passenger door fixed soon.

I have a similar problem. When my car comes to a complete stop, a metal bar in the back shakes back and forth. It seems to be in the way back underneath the backseat. It shakes for about 30 seconds back and forth like metal rubbing against metal.

teflon tape or white lithium grease works best.

hopefully i'll be able to work the car monday since this weekend is my friends 23rd and my 21st b-day

it has to be either one or a combination of them:

rear sway - not have the bushings greased up the way they should be may not allow sway bar to move as it should.(when i was leaving my local chevron tonight i heard a "pop" in the rear after leaving the gas station at an exit where it is steep and uneven. rolled down the hill and parked to check the sway bar and everything is still in its place...)

rear dampers - dont know that much but after hear about people on the fourm have trouble mostly with their front dampers i could be the first with bad rear's.

wheel alignment - maybe the wheels were not put bad on properly only say that now since i would only hear the noise back out or turning corners that slower speeds but now if im really listening in drive at slow speeds i hear a little noise when the tire hits a certain spot. so the rear wheels maybe putting stress on the damper and/or sway bar.

going to grease up the bushings and if that doesnt work, and it that doesnt work im might for the second time uninstall and reinstall the rear part of the suspension if honda doesnt call me to bring in my car to service it on the other things they messed up on...

well greased up the bushings and that did the trick. i also found that on the side my friend was working on we put on some different hardware and the bolt was too long so it would rub up against whatever was behind it. now i need a wheel alignment since im starting my rear wheels to do this: /car\. its not not as bad on the passgener side as it on the drivers side. i'll post pics tomorrow.

Are you on stock end links, or Corsport V2? I think the Corsport V2 end links make noise, or rub something on my application FG2. I've read others who did not like them either. I may go back to stock end links. Or maybe its just the LCA brackets creaking before cracking, I'm not sure. Redshift RSB brackets on the way! Not pleased, and mine needs some more work, but does handle a lot better.

Re: Progress RSB and Corsport End Links V2

I get a strange “thud” is the best I can describe it, when going over bumpy road surfaces, irregular road surfaces, inclines, potholes, speed bumps, etc. Anyone have any idea what its caused from and how to stop it from happening? I’m really considering putting it back to stock!!!

wow back from the dead... yea i have heard of people having issues with the corsport end links. i no longer have the car that had these issues but i threw the progress sway and had the same issues but that was from the bolts not being tightened down correctly and not enough grease on the bushings. hope this helps.
