oil change question

I am doing my first oil change. if i do it myself, does the oil life display automatically reset back to 100% or does the dealer need to reset it? I drive an 07 SI coupe

after you change the oil you need to get into your car and hit the sel/reset button until it gets to your oil life. now hold that button for i believe 10-15 seconds and it should reset to 100

This was new to me so I thought I'd share...

Make sure you get the code thats next to your oil life display.. i think its "A1" or "A2" or something like that. I just found out that the dealership uses that to determine what kind of maintenance the car needs.

This is explained in the manual, but I skipped over that part.

i just did this yesterday. hit the sel/reset button on the left till it gets to your oil life, hold it for 10-15 seconds. when your oil life starts flashing, press and hold the sel/reset button for 5 seconds or it says 100%

oh yeah... have fun with the oil filter =/

i did my oil change this morning before work and then after work i went out to warm the car up before driving home, it seemed to have a little hard time starting. it started up the first try, but softly putted a couple times and then started up strong. does anyone know what this could be?

I haven't seen the oil filter location on this car, but is there anyway you can put foil or something over the axle?
