My Civic squeaks when I drive faster than 50MPH
I discovered that when I drive my 2007 Civic LX sedan at around 50 to 75mph or faster, it produces a high pitch squeaking sound at my front right wheel area. I brought it in the dealership and the dealer said it's a bent backing plate and they bent it back. Well, it still made the noise when I drive at those speeds or faster after a week of driving from the date the dealer looked at my car. The dealer checked everything and said it's fine and there's nothing wrong with it.
I bought in my car to have it checked out for my A1 servicing at another dealership. One of the service tech. even rode in my car as I drove it on the freeway. During the test drive with the service tech there was no sound as I washed my car before I took it in for servicing which was a mistake because I didn't realized back then that washing it, especially the affected area eliminates the squeaking sound. So, if the area is wet, the sound can't be replicated or it just doesn't happen.
I never did hit anything like a curb or even any big potholes.
Who here suffers from the same or similar problem?
