Manual Trans issues

So as a result of my incident from a couple weeks ago, the car is now cosmetically repaired back to normal, though the body shop damaged the door protector on the rear passenger door (probably hit it with another car door) and they wont claim responsibility for it. The part is only $25 to replace and comes pre painted so im not overly concerned.
They told me my transmission has a problem, they think something in the throwout bearing was damaged since i hear a scraping noise when accelerating in first only. Hopefully it will be covered under warranty but we will see. back to driving the van i go....

check the warranty booklet that came with the car.

dealer says its under warranty, if not state farm is going to cover it since it was a result of the incident they are paying for the repairs on anyway.
