Si Spoiler center brace missing its nutz!!

Just noticed the other day on my habi. Looked under the trunk lid, and there were no nuts on the 2 bolts that hold down the center of the rear spoiler. Not a huuuuge deal, just curious if anyone else had this? I did a search, didn't find anything. I guess i'll get the dealer to slap a few on there when I take it in to fix the damn passenger side seat leaver for the lower rails that basically ripped off. Man I should check what day my car was made on.. haha.

Welcome to 8thcivic Lithium
First I've heard of the spoiler problem. The stealership should take care of those problems for you.

There should only be one nut for the center mount. The other hole for the center mount is for the wiring for the center brake light.

The outer mounts use two bolts each and the center has a stud attached to the wing with a nut put on it from inside the trunk.

Well I can lift mine right off the trunk in the center of the spoiler. You can see the gasket there...but ya definately need's a nut...I thought it was 2.. but maybe I'll have to look closer after work.

Nope, just one in the middle. I've had my spoiler off a couple of times to polish out scratches on the trunk lid.

Nope. No glue or anything. Each mount has a rubber gasket attached to the bottom of it.

Working from inside the trunk, remove the 4 outer mounting bolts (2 each side), unplug the third brake light connector and remove the nut on the center mount.

FWIW I have someone hold the wing in place until I have everything undone, just to make sure it doesn't fall and scratch anything.

Then lift it off and set it somewhere safe.
