Overtightened key screw
Has anyone tried to get to their battery yet? I stipped the screw while trying to get to the batteries. I was wondering if anyone else has noticed the screw that holds the key together has been put on too tight from factory.
Any ideas on how to remove the striped screw?

i just tried it on mine and it worked fine. not too tight, the screw came out fine. Craftman has some stripped crew removal tools but i doubt any of them are small enough to work on the remote. Anyway good luck, maybe try taking it to a dealer and see what they can do.

Mine was a bit tight. I used a small screw driver from a glasses repair kit. It wouldn't turn, so I grabbed some pliers and use those to turn the screw driver. Worked like a charm.
