Corsport Short Shifter Problem!!!!!!

I am installing my Corsport Short Shifter on my car right now, when I put the short shifter on the shifter, and then put the cable on the short shifter it rubs on the base of the shifter because short shifter seems to not go all the way up the shifter. Help please!!!!

This is common with the Corsport SS.
You have to FORCE the SS up onto the shifter.
You can either sand down the plastic, or let it rub until it forms a groove.

The sifter cable is rubbing above the "B"

You need to push the SS up as far as it would go, tap it in if you have, the same thing happened to me when I was installing mine and I had to tap it in with a hammer until it was all the way up

Try prying it up with a screwdriver between the plastic it'll rub on and the shifter. Might give ya enough force without trying to fit a hammer in there cause I'd never be able to do that.
Or sand down the B for an even shorter shift. The longer that piece of the shifter is, the shorter you'll shift. If you like what you have, tighten it there and sand the B.

I removed my console, one of the clips holding the shifter surround fell inside so I had to remove it any way to retrieve the clip, actually I just used a big pair of pliers to hammer it in

I am trying, but its not going any higher. Do you guys have any tips on removing those damn bushings?

Never mind about the bushings, I just had to get my leatherman out!!! LOL. I still need help with the SS, I dont want to sand down the plastic because it is such a short throw. I guess I will just wait till monday for corsport to reply to my email.
