I actually just ordered a set of chrome bulbs from these xenonmods people on Feb. 1st. I just received the bulbs today (5th) ...(I'm in NY though)

Sorry to hear of your bad luck.

I think 8thcivic should have one thread and have links to all the threads that expose these automotive related scam websites

i had thought i had ordered my bulbs from www.autolumination.com Tail Light Brake Light Turn Signal LED Bulbs , but come to find out that guy has a link on their site to sell his bulbs. i found this out from tracy at autolumination. i went to their site and ordered my bulbs on the 8th of last month and i just got them today after calling my credit card company and filing for them to reverse the charges. i also had sent them many e-mails and never heard back from them. i think they were notified that i was reversing the charges and decided to ship them so they get their money. they shipped them on the 4th...almost a month after ordering.

so if you go to www.autolumination.com Tail Light Brake Light Turn Signal LED Bulbs make sure that you are paying to autolumination and not this xenonmods.com company. if i was autolumination i would remove the link for his bulbs off my site....hes making them look bad.

Same with me, never answers a single e-mail. What kind of company does not communicate with their costumers? You actually don't live far from me Todd, I live in Davis, and the damn bulbs didn't get here for over 2 weeks. I don't know how long it usually takes for items to get ship from NY to CA, but it's ridiculous not let us, the customer, know the status of our products. A part of a bussiness's job is to maintain communication with their consumers, by that, this company sucks bad! I do not reccomend it to anyone.

Ltlai, the bulbs were shipped from new york on the 4th and today is the 7th so it only took 3 days to get here. so since i ordered them on the 8th of last month i should have had them at least by the 14th of last month(giving a few days for weekends and slow shipping). they just suck at customer service. tracy at autolumination said usally the guy is good and ships quickly. she said she would even e-mail him for me asking where my stuff was. now thats customer service trying to track down an order for a customer that didnt even order from you.

im usally driving threw davis (on 80) once every 2 weeks. you a student there? i know a few people up there.

Yea, I'm a student at Davis, great place man let me tell ya. Everyone here are like ridiculously friendly compared to any cities I've been to in CA. But yea, that's good that Autolumination.com helped you out, I am purely aiming at the XenonMods guy. Seriously, some kind of department needs to get on his a$$. If you search for his name on google, you'll see what kind of "service" he actually does. I know that not everyone has problems with this guy, but he has a strange style of shipping that pisses everyone off plus the whole no contact information thing beside an e-mail that he doesn't even respond to. But this has been a learning experience for me when it comes to purchasing online. And one of the fundamentals of learning is sharing what you've learned. Don't want to sound like i'm bitching about my stroke of bad luck. Hope to help everyone.

Here is how it went down, I had business with a website company name XenonMods.com (i'm sure some of you guys know it) and this is my experience. Not too long ago I ordered Chrome Bulbs from them for my signal lights. On his website which only listed his email as a source of communication, promised the product to be at our steps within 1-2 business days. Of course, I would understand if it took a little longer. So I bought them and paid through paypal, which was charged right away. It has been more than a week now and I still haven't seen my bulbs. I sent him 3 e-mails throughout the week asking him nicely to track and inform me of the status of my bulbs. LIKE many customers that I later found out (which you can just google) there were no response from the guy and some just lose their money. SO I'm letting all you guys know, that although not everyone get this problem from this business, a good number of people do so the next time you think about going there, I hope you read this first. Becareful! This is MOST UNPROFESSIONAL, it makes me angry to riped off. Probably going to talk to Paypal sooner or later. I dont know why I'm still giving him a chance, hoping that it will show up. If any of you guys have anything to add, it'll be most appreciated. Always DO RESEARCH before buying! I can't believe my noobness.

Anyways guys, here are a couple of links from customers in other forums that had the problem (you could find them on google, but I just thought it'll be convenient if i paste them here for you all to read). There are many more that share the same experience as I. The interesting one is the Mustang forum guy. Because he filed a complaint at Paypal and then the owner of the business went ape-sh*t with insults at the customer.

My Ford Forum - XenonMods headlights - Where NOT to buy from!
Xenonmods.com - CROOK!!! - RX8Club.com

My experience with XenonMods was quite good. Took about 4 days to get them. I will say that there was no confirmation of the order, but I did receive the goods, and pretty fast given cross county shipment. He charges $1 for shipping and the Postal meter stamp was $1.82 for my 4 bulbs--not a bad deal. Maybe previous buyers comments have improved service. I'd buy again.

Yea, I have googled the owner (unfortunatly after I bought from him). He has a weird style of shipping that although not everyone gets the sh*ty side to this style a good number of people do. Some don't even recieve their products and paypal also has a good number of complaints about this Ryan character. The point is that being a national distribution of products company, you should make sure all your customers are happy and I personally was not too happy when I was dealing with him. All I asked for was if he knew I have product tracking number or a status. He didn't provide any contact information at all beside his e-mail which he doesn't answer to. I was piss and later I find out that he bashes his costumers via e-mail (he is actually known to do this so it didn't happen to just one individual). That to me is going against any professional code, I just don't want any 8thCivics to get into the same problem. I'm not saying he's a big no no, anyone can shop from him if they like, I just want to help those that want to know some background and info before they buy. All I have to say is, thank god for Paypal.

Correction, my unpleasant experience was with autolumination, not xenonmods. I've never dealt with xenonmods.

Well, because the bulbs came in the end after calling paypal no money was lost. But money isn't my real deal with this guy. Just tested my patience and time typing those e-mails and filing a claim.
