Nope, the TSX projector will fit in our headlights, its what most people have used for retros but the actual headlights will not fit

You can put that bulb in your car if you want but your light output is gonna suck big time. All that is is a blue bulb which = less light. If you want more light stick to HIDs and if you want it bluish go with a 6000k kit, for white go with a 4500 kit. you wont be disappointed, Trust me

XenonPros.com- your best source for McCulloch and Philips HID kits Thats the best price i found for my McCulloch 8000K. I love the lights and they are direct fit... EXCEPT if you have an 08 Civic. your going to have to loosen the 3 housing screws to make it fit, then screw them back in nice and tight around the replacement bulb.

xentec

so i just recieved the infamous xentec conversion kit. After reading articles/posts from numerous people about needing a relay for the extra power needed, I noticed they were installed on older altimas and such. Would I still need a relay on my 08'??

^^Damn, those are expensive, I have an 06 and I had to loosen the housing screws to make my HIDs fit, it sucked b/c I had to remove the bumper and headlights to do it.

Yes, they are a little on the expensive side but they are a better build quality then most conversion kits. I had a $140 kit on my ek, i could hear the ballasts when they were on, the bulbs seemed like they had hot spots, the wiring on the kit was a bit cheap. The kit still worked fine, but I would rather pay the extra $100 for a better build quality and a good reputation. And yes, taking the front bumper sucked!!!!! Luckily I did my fogs the same time, so I had to take it off anyway.

Digital ballasts are the same thing, there just a 1/3 of the size and weigh less than a standard ballast. They both do the same thing, ones not better than the other. Your really just paying more money for a smaller and lighter ballast. Here is a link for a set, digital ballasts are usually used for motorcycles for obvious reasons.

yes, you can just buy the bulbs on its own... all ballasts are universal, just the bulbs themselves are the different due to different housing fitments. every bulb comes with the negative and positive wires, just make sure you order 9006 bulbs as replacement.

had 6000k, 8000k, and 1000k... the brightest for me were 6000k, and switched back over to it.

I purchased my 35w 6000K digital kit from Retro-Solutions Installation was a breeze. I still dont know why everyone is yanking thier bumper off to install these. Anyway back to HID's. I have not had anyone flash thier high beams at me or anything of that sort. I can see the road alot more than I can with the halogens. If I had a camera I would have some pictures. Maybe someday when that is an important thing.

Would you guys be able to help me with some information.

I have questions such as, do i need projector headlights to run HID's? If i dont, will it be good enough? Whats a good color temperature to get? Questions such as those.

Im sorry these questions may sound newbish, but in actuality they are

Also i keep seeing adds for HID kits for 140 when you go to the home of 8thcivic:
www.autoxsport.com Your #1 Source for Xenon HID Conversion Kit AUTO & MOTORCYCLE

Whats your guys' opinion on these?

so all in all i guess what i am asking is what in the hell do i need to get HID's in my car so i can see the gosh darn road better!

Thanks!!

should go buy some from china. i got mine from shanghai this summer when i was there visiting family. they are AMAZING. very very nice. just like the pro kits here. they cost me about 300RMB which translates to about 40 bucks US. if your gonna buy in teh US dont go for anything less than $400. anythign lower seems to be fake or not worth it.

lol, wow..i had not checked this post for awhile!...any ways i ended up buying a pair from ebay...BIG MISTAKE!..the ones that were from china, that everyone on this forum seems to have!

About 2 weeks after purchase, the ballast blows-could be just my luck-however long story short, the guy never responded to my emails, and i am down money. I ended up getting another kit from this site though:

www.bavtoys.com

they have the digital ballasts. basicaly same thing, but smaller. ive had for a couple months now, no problems! better color as well. i love it! give me a pm if you want more details on them. I have a buddy that works for them, and they are awesome. basically, you can also get a lifetime waranty if you pay an extra 25$ as well. let me know!
