If you have to use a screwdriver to get the bulb out, make sure you turn the light off first. You don't want to blow a fuse.

Am I the only one who's having a hell of a time trying to get to the trunk light? I tried prying off the plastic cover but it won't budge... only saw 2 of those white tab things holding the black plastic cover, tried moving those, wouldn't budge...

You don't remove the black plastic cover, just the light cover.

Hmm... I tried prying off the plastic cover but I didn't want to apply too much pressure lest I break the thing.

Where are the tabs located?

I made my own red LED maps and dome. But after a while I got tired of them and made white LED maps and dome. White is alot easier on the eyes.
I have done blue and red LED maps and dome. I found the red ones to be brighter. But I would not know anything about the Festoon ones.

I got tired of the red after a while. But the guys that I did blue ones, love them. I think the red are intense, and the blue are soft. Either way, it is harder to read a map or paper with the colored lights.

Just ordered 3 red ones for my car. How long does shipping take? I was a lil annoyed with paying $5 to ship something that weighs nothing really. But ohh well.

I was disappointed with the festoon bulbs from superbrightleds.com. I tried the white ones, and they were dimmer than the OEM filament bulbs in my WRX. I ordered the 1-watt Luxeon model from taskled.com. They blind people now when they look directly at them.

Apparently, my WRX has the same bulb size as the Civic. :)
