2 quest: festoon or varad? trunk bulb removal

2 questions:
1. Festoon 9 LEDs or the varad? Which is brighter?

2. I tried to pry off the cover for the trunk light. Didn't come out easily...how do you get to the trunk bulb?

I'd like to see how bright the tail lamps and rear turn signals are compared to stock.

Anyone have pics?

I got 3 blues and I gotta say they look great. I have the front two facing upwards so it's not so bright but the center dome light facing downwards is great. When I go out at night and unlock my car I just love the way it illuminates the inside.

Did they fix the problem of the lights coming loose and turning off?

Factory 07 Cadillacs have these LEDs as well for their map lights. Cool as hell.

I had the same problem!!!! I bough 3 9-LED white bulbs and all 3 are intermittent!!! I email Superbright LEDs to get replacements but they want me to send back the bad bulbs! It's not worth my time and money to ship them back...

I don’t know what to do now....

+1 Same thing.

I got this bulb from the earlier photo

I have two permenantly burned-out bulbs and the one operational bulbs. (3 weeks.)

One the other hand, the rear licence mod was nice and still works after 3 weeks.

Yup same thing with me my Licence plate led lights are working just fine, and look awesome. But the festoon bulbs are toast.

Take a small knife and pry off the loose side or both if they are both loose.

Take all the epoxy off the end and wrap the wire around a different part of the side, not in the slot.

The problem will be gone.

fesersoft,

can you clarify? Wrap what wire? What side - the side of the contact on the LED or the side of the bracket that holds the bulb?

I have the same issue as crazyj so maybe this is a common issue.

When you take the metal end off, you will see a tiny 22 gauge wire wrapped around from inside of the tube and it loops over the end and goes toward the middle.

You need to move it to a different location because it doesn't make a good enough contact in the groove.
