Questions (i looked through the thread, may have missed the answers cause the thread is so huge now)

Is the dome light the same bulb as the map lights? What is the bulb for the license plate lights? And how the hell do you get the license plate bulbs out!?!?! Thanks guys.

Yes. They're both 3022 bulbs.

  1. Open your trunk
  2. There are two clips holding in the plastic that keeps the bulb in
  3. Press the clips together
  4. Pull out
  5. Remove the bulb by pulling them right out

I'd probably recommend you use something like a cloth or napkin to pull that pull out and install it. that way you don't get any oil on the bulbs.

Its the coupe. I assume it's the same on the sedan, but someone else would have to confirm that.

It's not as bright as in the pics, a little bit dimmer. I'll take more pics later. I only did the dome lights, and still need to put in the map lights. Hmm...might leave maps stock, since I have LX and they don't come on when the doors open.

Great info guys, I'm going to be buying my interior lights today.

About the license plate lights i was thinking to buy a couple of WLED-WHP Pure White High Power bulbs but are they worth it or they burnt out really easy?

I don't have the exact page link but it's buried in this thread somewhere. You simply need a small flathead screwdriver to gently pry off the cover. It's really easy.

I used a very thin knife, slipped it in a crack and popped it out. I found a screwdriver to be too bulky and could potentially scratch your dome light.

They've been working flawlessly for me. It's been about a month. If anything, the failures have been with the 5-LED and 6-LED.

Just put my in too, I got white for the map lights and blue for the dome light, the only glitch is that the 2 white ones are different tones (one of them is kinda yellowish), any way to fix it or i gotta live with it?

After all i decided to buy the WLED-WHP Pure White High Power bulbs too and they looks terrific . Thanks Yodums for your quick response to my last post.
