That is what I did. White map lights and red dome light. Good choice

the 3022 9LED RED provides a nice warm color but the brightness is inferior to the BLUE ones. It is also difficult to read maps (for us who can't afford Nav :P ) under the RED lights because most maps have green/red colors for roads/parks/grass etc and the RED light really screws up the map (the roads blend into the surroundings so u can't really see the turns/intersections well)

The BLUE 3022 9LED provides more than adequate brightness..some may argue they are TOo bright (i read about someone deciding to put the LEDs facing up to reduce the brightness and now i know why). Map reading under BLUE is better than under the RED (But of course the OEM yellow is the best for maps)

For trunk light:
The 194 RED 5LED looks cool but produces FAR LESS lighting than the OEM yellow bulbs. The 194 WHITE produces more brightness than RED but is still dimmer than the OEM yellow. I might wanna check out the BLUE ones next time, or just switch back to the OEM yellows if the LEDs are unsatisfactory.

For License plate:
The 194 White 5LED looks great, but again not as bright as the OEM yellow bulbs. The White color looks great tho. I just hope they don't burn out fast, as some people on this board have experienced.
Great comparison. Has anyone tried the WLED-WHP Pure White High Power from superbrightleds.com for their trunk light? This is pretty much the only light I haven't decided on yet.

Here are some pics of the white lights. The map and dome lights look slightly more purplish in person. The license lights look as they appear in the pictures. I will try to take a picture of the trunk light later tonight.

^^ the license plate LED looks a bit too overpowering... to the point where you can't even read the plate. I'm stating this because you said the pictures are exactly what they look like. Can you verify this?

Oops, I'm sorry. I forgot to mention that I whited out my license plate numbers. In reality, it's not washed out at all. They look great! Slightly brighter than stock and not overpowering.

Here's a before picture that I didn't include in my earlier post, compared with the after. I also took a pic of the trunk light (white WLED 5-LED 194/168 bulb)... didn't take a before picture for this one.

I may have missed this information from your previous posts, but which LED did you choose for your license plate bulb? Thanks for the before/after pics btw!

Read all 21 pages.

V-Leds.com OR superbrightleds.com ????

Seems like the V-Leds.com are more expensive but I'm wiling to spend the money if the quality is better and lasts longer.

Opinions?

^^ What do you mean remove the cover for trunk light?
AFAIK, you unplug wire from the inside of the trunk, then push on two side clips and pull out.

Annedi, Does this help you?

Im lying down in my trunk, so the left side of the pictures are the driver side of the car.

1. Stick your flat head screwdriver into far edge of the light

2. Begin to pry the light out, it should fall out real easy.

3. Close up.

4. Action shot.

5. Flip the cover over to reveal the light bulb and connector.

6. Now you need to disconnect bulb from the connector. There is a little wedge thingy that you press down on, and then just pull the connector off.

7. Now you have easy access to the bulb, pull it out and replace with your new LED.

My apologies annedi, I was thinking of a completely different set of lights.
Please follow Jgams' instructions as those are correct.
