Anyone have any updates on this DIY? Any positive reviews of these lasting longer than 3 weeks or do these lights really blow out that quickly?

As you can see in the picture I also have LED under the dash. You can see the LED if you look directly into the car, I just happened to be kneeling down when I took the picture. But, this gives you an idea of what the festoon lights look like...

i just installed some blues

i saw in this thread that someone used a coke can as a reflector for the trunk... so i did the same.

i have one in the trunk, one that comes on when the doors are open, and i put ONE in the map lights. i kept one stock just in case i actually need light for something. haha

it looks great at night

Do the new lights still fade in and out like the OEM lights? I'm not a big fan of the yellow tint of the stock lights, so how much whiter are these?

Yes, they will fade in and out like the OEM lights. They're a lot brighter. My friends noticed it immediately when I switched out the map LEDs.

Awesome, I'm thinking of ordering a set of whites for the dome and map lights today. Contemplating doing the trunk lights and the license plate lights too.

Can someone please take a picture of their 3022-x9 LED Festoon bulb lighten up at night? I want to see how brightly it'll light up the car, if I use it for the Map and Dome lights. Thanks!

I actually may buy some white festoons for the front map lights, because Blue is just so intense. I like it for the dome light though.
