sk33ny's idea- Run a switch after fuse #37 in fuse box? Would it work or no?

Yea, i got to thinking, is theres a reason you have have to make your own harness? Could you just plug the bulbs into the factory wiring harness then splice the DRL wire after the fuse box and put a switch in?

Looks pretty sweet...I might have to give this a whirl. This may be a dumb ? but do you have to flip the new switch to turn on the drls when the headlights are off?

assuming you haven't taken out fuse 37 (drl fuse), the answer is no. your drls act like normal. they come on when headlights are off.

okay, i installed it just the way you showed in the diagram but

i used an AGC fuse instead of the ATC you did in there
and with the ohm resistor, i assumed you meant 1.2K (1200) ohms not 1.2 ohms

the result is the light of the switch in my cabin comes on but the lights do not

any ideas how to fix?

try running the wires without the resistor in there because im pretty sure it was only 1.2 ohms and you might have gotten one that is completely blocking all the power. try that and let me know what happens

yes, i agree with Entropy. it's NOT 1200 ohms. it's 1.2 ohms. i used 1.3 ohms for mine. 1200 ohms would definitely block most if not all the light...

i couldn't either. the stores around me had either 0.8 or 1.35 ohms. i ordered mine from:
