heres a suggestion for taking the bulb out. Get a small thin plyer, and pinch the bulb with the plyers as far down on it as you can, and just yank it out that way, both my bulbs flew out np, and i think they still work =)

I broke the clip pulling it out of the connector. The connector clip broke on mine. not the bulb.

I have a 2007 EX Sedan and I was unsure what to get for the license plate, so I got 2 different kinds to show you and myself what the actual difference is.

Super Bright LEDs

WLED-WHP LED Wedge Base Bulbs
High Power - Pure White 194/168 wedge base bulb

Here it is compared to the stock bulb.
High Power - Pure White 194/168 wedge base bulb is on the LEFT

Alternative LED
WLED-x5 LED Wedge Base Bulbs
5-LED super wide angle 194/168 wedge base bulbs (COOL WHITE)

Here they are side-by-side

High Power on the LEFT vs. 5-LED super wide angle RIGHT

Here is a pic of the bulbs.

High Power on the LEFT vs. 5-LED super wide angle RIGHT

As you can see, not much of a difference.

I also installed these in my interior.
3022-x9 LED Festoon bulb WHITE (They do not come in COOL WHITE)

3022-x9 LED Festoon bulb WHITE on LEFT vs Stock on RIGHT

All finished

After doing the interior I wish I would have gotten these.

3022-WHP2 Festoon bulb

I do not know if they fit, but I would like somethign a little brighter than the x9 led.

Ya, I agree. The interior lights are not as bright. They are ok, but not as good as stoke IMO.
I want something different for the map lights and trunk light.

great diy!

I've replaced my license plate lights with some red leds, i wonder if thats illegal. The whole process took me under 5 mins and that includes testing 2 different kind of bulbs.

The trunk light however took me a little longer as i tried prying off the case to no avail. There's actually a clip on the opposite end of the power connector. Just push that in and the light falls out.

+rep

ok so 9led does not produce as much light as white, but my blue maps are pretty damn bright in comparrison, and are actually similar! that x2 wled will be brighter than the 9led set up
im working on a 3W led project which im sure you can find if you look for the link
what you need(depending on the led chosen):
5v Regulator
3W led
resistors (i chose 4x 1/2W 47 ohm resistors to be set up in parallel)
a festoon bulb to dremel the hell out of!!!!

this week seems to be the ideal week to try and finish the project so im gonna go for it
wish me luck!!!! (im doing a blue one for the overhead light, and a white 95 lumens one for the trunk!!!!!)

I'm going to stand by the high powered WLED-WHP's ... It definitely has the best 'white' light output. I love mine, and haven't had any problems with them thus far.

When you purchase the wled-whp led wedge base bulbs. did you have to buy 2 of them or theres 2 in one package?
