quick question about this DIY

im tryin to do this for my license plate
so.....
will the 1-LED blub be too dark? im trying to go for blue and i dun want to attract too much attention. so is 1-LED blub bright enough or should i go with 4-LED blub?

thx alot, i can appreciate some pictures too =D

great job on the DIY

Ya the blue 1LED is a little dim I had it on my car for 2weeks and I thought that it was a bull’s-eye waiting to get pulled over. But I know have a 1wled and it looks real cool sort of blue an real bright.

1led was fine. I had that in to. um i don't know a bout you but i just recently started to look at other license plate lights to see how bright they are, and there are a lot of them that are very dim. So you shouldn’t have a problem with what ever you go with. White I mean.

yea dude, use white, and if u want it to be REAL bright go with the 1 Watt LEDs
3W LEDs on order for interior light modifications (didnt want to spend the mula for the 5W)
will post up DIY for using the star shapped LED for a bunch of applications!!!
purchased pre-assembled 18SMT led amber tail signals
and looking into back up lights!!!

Ya like I said I had them on for about 2 weeks and switched over to the little white LED. I picked them up at pepboys. But I really thing that the blue lights looked really cool. I will have to take some pictures of the 1wleds that I have in there now tonight.

I was also thinking, that if you have a car behind you that there headlights would just wash out the blue but, having your back always to the cops sounds easy until that one time so.

no it doesnt wash them out, unless ur driving with blue HIDs lol cops will DEF see the blue at any angle, trust me i drove behind a car with them, even my highbeams (cause he was an asshole driver in a CRX) were not enough to wash them out
Jcool, ill be getting my 3W white and Blue leds for interior and trunk applications soon, ill give u the low down, i know u were interested in the 12LED setup, but it doesnt fit lol u live u learn lol tho it was brighter when i jammed it in the trunk light lol (its still in there, but doesnt fit right lol

LoL ya I initially bought the 1w led for the trunk but the light wasn’t bright enough, OH and I blew out a fuse. Tried to put some tin foil to reflect down and it was to late to find out that wouldn’t work lol. The fuse was under the trunk it took me some time to find, the manual wasn’t specific. So the package came with 2, I use them for my license plate.
